Trip To The 'Nati

We took off this morning and headed to Cincinnati for the weekend. My grampa's birthday is next week and I really wanted to spend some quality time with him. He's turning 97! That is so cool. And he's in great health, exercises every day, reads the paper and watches every sporting event he can on TV. I called him up yesterday and told him that I would be in town this weekend, and asked if I could come over and watch the Georgetown - Ohio State game tomorrow evening. He said that sounded like a wonderful idea and he informed me that the Las Vegas odds on the game are 50/50. The best part is that my dad talked to him later that day and my grampa was really psyched that Liz and I were coming over for the game and he asked my dad if he could get some beer for the game.

Again grampa, you rock. Luckily I caught my dad before he got to the store so I could request some NA beer but that's another Lenten story.

There is a funny part. On the way here today we stopped in a rest area to go to the bathroom. (I still don't know why they don't just call them bathroom break areas). I think we were just east of Wheeling, WV when I spotted an intriguing headline in a local newspaper box. I had to invest the 50 cents to investigate further.
